Drove past and saw a full parking lot, knew it could not disappoint and it did not. Spinach artichoke dip was creamy and warm with full cloves of garlic. Fresh Ciabatta bread for the table was warm and soft. Seared scallops, Lasagna, meatball sandwich and the scratch soup were all so good. Finished it off with a table Tiramisu and that did not let us down either! This is a must do for Italian food.

Went on a Tuesday for lunch at 12:30pm, was seated immediately and brought bread with oil to enjoy while looking at the menu. Ordered the artichoke spinach dip appetizer - so delicious! Save the free bread to eat with the dip because they only give 5 mini bread slices. Ordered a White Pizza with Shrimp, the Classic Caprese, Mortadella Panini, Fried Cheese Ravioli, and a lunch-sized pizza. All the food was super filling and delicious!! Our server was friendly but never brought us more bread when asked 2x - saving us carbs i guess lol. Will totally be back for a different meal time and try a pasta or breakfast meal perhaps.

We were planning on going to meatball cafe on our last night in south padre and I’m so glad we didn’t. We went a day earlier and it was so amazing we had to go the next day too. Every bite was so flavorful. From the bread they bring to the table, to the garlic knots, the salads, the steak, the pastas and the soups, it’s all so flavorful and you can taste the freshness. The service was amazing and very friendly. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced! The food was amazing. I will dream about this place until the next time I come back to SPI

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5) Overall, I had a great experience at Meatball Café. The atmosphere was probably my favorite part. I loved the little lamps on each table they made the restaurant feel really cozy and unique. And, of course, I got to eat with JOHN PORK. As I always say, he’s not actually part of Meatball Café; he’s just part of the fun. The service was good, and I really liked how they served the water. They brought out these nice small glasses and, they gave us a nice-looking jug of water for the table, which felt a little more upscale. John Pork mentioned how fancy the water seemed. The bread was good, but it wasn’t enough for a table of seven people. We only got two small loaves, and one of them was toasted so much that it was almost like eating a giant crouton. John Pork did like the softer loaf which was much better. I also liked the seasoned olive oil they served with it had a nice garnish and tasted great. I just wish they had brought us another basket of bread because we ran out almost immediately. I ordered the lobster ravioli. It came with three large ravioli for about $33. The flavor was really good it had a rich, cheesy filling, and I liked the edible flower garnish.

Had an amazing experience at The Meatball Cafe in South Padre Island! The food was fresh, flavorful, and there was a great variety of dishes to choose from. We enjoyed several dishes including the shrimp scampi, lasagna, and the seared sea scallop Toscana and everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, the ambiance was warm and inviting. Definitely a place we’ll return to whenever we’re back on the island. Highly recommend!
